90 Day Fiance stars Patrick Mendes and Thais Ramone have ended their marriage after four years and one child. Ahead of the spinoff, The Last Resort, Patrick filed for divorce, and Thais was arrested. Now, footage of her being handcuffed has been released, but what was her reaction to all of this? Keep reading for more details on this shocking situation.

Thais Ramone Arrested For DV

Despite Patrick Mendes and Thais Ramone seeming to have a very happy marriage, that was all an illusion. The 90 Day Fiance couple was headed to England for The Last Resort in 2025 to work on their issues. He had a lot of debt, which was mounting over the years, and things were secretly blowing up. Finally, Patrick filed in May 2026 and wanted custody of their daughter Aleesi. He allegedly brought Aleesi to say goodbye to Thais as she was headed to her native Brazil.

That was when things imploded, and Thais allegedly slapped Patrick. She apparently was unhappy that he was at her home, despite his being there with their child. Moreover, as aforementioned, he stated he was taking Aleesi to say goodbye. He also had marks on him to back up his claims, hence why she was taken away in handcuffs. There was bodycam footage from the day she was arrested that has now been released. She appeared to be holding Aleesi as she was talking to the police.

Thais has a very different version of what happened and why she hit her estranged husband. The 90 Day Fiance star stated that she acted in self-defense, maintaining that Patrick was “controlling” her.  However, her story did not hold much water, and she was the one who got arrested. Thais Ramone’s rep spoke to TMZ and had this to say:

“Situations involving relationships and family dynamics are rarely black and white, and she has no interest in escalating negativity publicly.”

Charges Dropped

As of now, the charges against Thais Ramone have been dropped. However, 90 Day Fiance fans are following the story as it evolves, given that they are currently on The Last Resort. Some are questioning why it was Patrick Mendes going to Thais’ home with Aleesi and not another family member, given the state of their relationship. He had just filed for divorce, so they were clearly not on great terms:
