On Friday, March 20, Joseph Duggar, 31, went to an Arkansas courthouse via Zoom. He gave up his right to a hearing about his extradition.  The disgraced reality star was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior for touching a child under 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior for an adult 18 years or older. Arkansas Vine Service has sent out a notification that he has been transferred from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office as of 03/27/2026.

It is not clear whether they shipped him to Florida or to a different facility in Arkansas. The Muscaw Law Group in Naples, Florida, says that Florida has some of the harshest punishments for child molestation in the country. If Joseph is found guilty, he could face at least 25 years in prison, and he could even get life in prison.

In 2023, Governor Ron DeSantis signed a law that lets prosecutors ask for the death penalty. Adults who are found guilty of raping children under the age of 12 can be put to death.

Joseph Duggar Transferred

This notification is sponsored by the Arkansas VINE Service. It is our hope that this information has been helpful to you.

The Vine website doesn’t say where Joseph has been moved to, but we can guess that he has been sent to the Bay County facility in Florida.

Bay County is where Joseph’s first charges of lewd and lascivious behavior and lewd and lascivious conduct came from. Florida has some of the toughest punishments for crimes against kids, as seen in DeSantis’ punishments above. So Joseph could spend a long time in jail.

Joseph Duggar had a court date in the Arkansas courthouse on April 29th. If he has been transferred to Florida, then that is void.
