’90 Day Fiance’: The Truth Behind Patrick & Thais’ Divorce Drama
90 Day Fiance star Patrick Mendes is allegedly seeking to end his four-year marriage to Thais Ramone and is requesting sole legal custody of their child. Divorce documents filed by Patrick this week reveal that he wants both sole legal and primary physical custody of their 3-year-old daughter, Aleesi. The papers note that Patrick claims to earn $10,000 per month, which is double Thais’ 5,000 monthly income, so he is not seeking child or spousal support. Update: Thais was also arrested for domestic violence on May 22nd. Check out the arrest details here.
Patrick is also requesting ownership of their Honda Ridgeline, the couple’s $8,000 Fidelity 401K, and their Tempur-Pedic mattress.
According to the filings, Aleesi has been residing with Patrick since May 6, and he has listed a new address, different from the one he previously shared with Thais. After appearing together on “90 Day Fiancé” and “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After,” the couple is set to appear on the show’s therapy spin-off, “90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort.” The premiere of The Last Resort is coincidentally on June 1st.
Is the 90-Day Fiancé divorce real?
A 90 Day Fiance social media page thinks it is all for publicity for the upcoming premiere of 90 Days’ spin-off, The Last Resort. The spinoff is a TLC reality show where couples from the 90 Day Fiancé universe attempt to salvage their fractured relationships. The couples arrive at an immersive resort for intense group therapy and one-on-one sessions to tackle issues like infidelity, trust, and intimacy to decide if they want to renew their vows or go their separate ways forever.

The Last Resort Season 3 Was Filmed Last Year
Season 3 was filmed over 3 weeks in Oct-Nov 2025. For the first time in the franchise’s history, production took place overseas in the United Kingdom, with the couples staying and filming at historic Thornbury Castle in England. It is interesting that 5 days ago, Thais shared herself partying it up in Vegas at an EDC festival, not acting like a married woman. For a woman who is allegedly having marital problems, why would you share the heavy partying on your social media when your husband is asking for sole custody of your 3-year-old daughter? Is this all for free publicity for the premiere on June 1st? TLC also allowed Jenny Slatten to reveal her devastating ALS diagnosis 2 days ago, ahead of the June 1st premiere date. She is also on the upcoming The Last Resort spinoff with her husband, Sumit Singh.
Divorce Papers Reveal No Reason For The Split
No specific reason for the split is mentioned; the documents only state that the couple is “incompatible.”
A rep for the couple tells TMZ, “Out of respect for everyone involved, we believe it’s important not to jump to conclusions or contribute to speculation before all facts are properly clarified. Domestic matters can be deeply emotional and complex, and we encourage compassion, privacy, and due process for all parties involved. Our focus right now is simply ensuring that everyone is safe and supported. We appreciate the public’s understanding and ask for respect regarding their family and personal privacy during this time.”
Is it all a coincidence that Patrick filed for divorce a little over a week before the premiere of The Last Resort? Don’t be surprised if this couple works out their differences on the show and the “divorce” is dismissed. Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
