Sister Wives Leon Brown Current Situation & Occupation
Meri and Kody Brown’s child, Leon Brown, is becoming very mysterious.
The life they live is, to say the least, puzzling—and I’ve always questioned what their occupation is. Because let me tell you something…
Meri, despite saying Leon wants to live privately and that she respects their privacy, doesn’t seem to acknowledge one thing: Leon’s social media is completely public. There’s a public LinkedIn account connected to their page. Leon also runs a public blog where they charge people to subscribe. They even list “writer” in their bio.
So, if you want to live a private life… why are you so publicly visible online? Does that make sense? You’re charging the public and sharing everything in plain sight—yet saying you want privacy? That’s confusing.
Anyway, back to the point—I’m still not sure what Leon actually does for a living. But fans and viewers have recently been talking about Leon more and more.
Some said Leon coming out as transgender was a total shock. Others? Not so much—they claim they saw it coming.

A fan recently posted on Reddit, saying:
“Look, I know we all have our thoughts and opinions on Leon Brown. A lot of them are unpopular, but keep in mind—we’re all allowed to have opinions. Just don’t be ugly about it in the comments. If you harass anyone, you’ll be blocked and reported. Opinions aren’t facts, folks!”
That said, here’s what one viewer shared:
“I was shocked when Leon came out as transgender. I respect it, but I didn’t expect it. Of all the Brown kids, Leon seemed most committed to the idea of plural marriage. I’m rewatching Season 6, and back then, they really pushed the idea of wanting to be a sister wife.”
They continued with examples—like how Meri once told Robyn she always wanted a boy, or how when Leon was born, they thought it was a boy because of the umbilical cord. Looking back, it all hits differently.
Another fan chimed in:
“Sometimes people perform belief systems more intensely when they’re actually doubting them. Maybe that’s why Leon wanted to be a sister wife—part-time husband, more closeness with women, less pressure to be with men. It honored their religion, but also felt safe.”
Someone else shared their own story of growing up in a strict Christian home, wanting to be a nun to avoid being in relationships with men, only to later come out and marry a woman.
Others agreed, saying Leon’s behavior made sense in hindsight. They might’ve clung to the faith harder out of fear, doubling down on what was expected to avoid being rejected.
One person commented:
“Leon has talked about how they didn’t kiss anyone or be alone with boys. That says a lot. They probably pushed themselves deeper into the church out of fear of who they really were.”
Another viewer added:
“I think Leon’s experience is common among queer people raised in religious, conservative households. You’re taught to hate that part of yourself and bury it deep. Some even believe they’re broken. That leads to years of hiding and trauma.”
Even though the Brown family may have seemed open-minded on camera, many fans feel the AUB (Apostolic United Brethren) culture Leon grew up in was not LGBTQ-friendly. That made coming out even more courageous.
So… were you shocked when Leon came out? Or did you see it coming?
