Gil is still active in their church. Furthermore, he’s still keeping many of their annual traditions alive. But many were surprised when Gil ended up in a hospital. ‘Bringing Up Bates‘: Gil & Kelly Jo Bates Leave Fans In Awe

One of the most recent appearances of Gil was on Valentine’s Day. Kelly Jo took to social media to share sweet photos with her husband. She wrote, “My FOREVER Valentine! I love you today & always… more & more & more & so much more! Thank you for choosing to be mine!” Many were glad to see Gil and Kelly Jo looking happy and healthy. Things have been busy for the two due to the recent baby boom in the family. They’ve been welcoming grandkids back and forth. But amid all the happiness, many Bringing Up Bates fans were caught off guard when they saw Gil at the hospital.

Why Is Gil In The Hospital?

Some Bringing Up Bates fans on social media discussed Carlin’s recent IG post. It features photos from their February activities. But some fans were shocked to see Gil in a hospital, carrying her baby boy. This led to speculations that Gil was hospitalized. However, it was later clarified that Gil was wearing a visitor band, and the photo may have been taken when Mama Jane was hospitalized earlier this month.

• “That looks like a visitor band rather than a patient band. Mama Jane had a stroke and the whole family went to visit her.”
• “As other’s have suggested, it’s a visitors badge for the rehabilitation, and wearing something maybe given to her by Mama Jane?”
• “If he was a patient, his band wouldn’t likely be hand written. Patient bands typically have your full legal name as well so it would say William not Gil.”
• “That doesnt look like a standard hospital room. Perhaps its a long term care facility? Lots of them require bands to be worn after checking in so staff can ID who you are and who youre visiting.”

Carlin previously took to IG to ask prayers from fans following the hospitalization of her grandmother, Mama Jane. One of Carlin’s uncles found Mama Jane in the middle of the farm, and she wouldn’t have made it if she hadn’t been found sooner.

Carlin later revealed that Mama Jane is recovering well, and they’re now doubling their efforts to take turns watching over her. Mama Jane has been a warrior. She finished her radiation treatment last year to beat cancer. But she’s facing another battle, and many Bringing Up Bates fans hope that she’ll get well soon.
