Erin Bates Back To Hospital, Gives Family Support
Bringing Up Bates star Erin Bates recently found herself back at the hospital. Thankfully, this time it wasn’t for herself. Late last summer, Erin found herself fighting for her life after giving birth to her newest son, Henry. She had acquired a severe infection that led to sepsis and a long stay in ICU. Now, this time, she is at the hospital giving her family support. What happened?

Bringing Up Bates star Erin Bates knows how important having family around during big moments is. She had everyone rallying behind her when she was fighting for life after childbirth. Along with a severe UTI and kidney infection, Erin had become septic and also suffered an unexplained seizure. At one point, her husband Chad was begging for prayers to save her life.
She did recover, but it took some time. When she was finally discharged from the hospital, she did not have use of her leg for several days. Now, she’s giving back and is offering her family support as they did for her last year.
Erin found herself at the hospital again to give support to one of her sisters.
Family Gathers Around Tori Bates
Erin wasn’t the only one to show up and offer support at the hospital. Josie Balka was also on hand to lend support. The Bringing Up Bates stars were there to rally behind Tori Bates as she gave birth to her sixth child. Tori and her husband, Bobby Smith, welcomed their new son on February 28.
Kelly Jo Bates also celebrated the arrival of her newest grandchild by posting several photos. She said, “Our handsome little grandson, Gage Turner Smith, was born 2-28-26 at 10:02 p.m., weighing 6 lbs 4oz.”
Tori and Bobby also shared the joyous announcement on social media. As for Erin, the doting aunt posted pics of her sister and mother holding their babies while she sat at the hospital holding Henry beside them.
She also shared a selfie, which revealed her being at the hospital, and congratulated Tori and Bobby. She also noted how proud she is of her sister. Erin said it was the best week ever and that Gage is a doll baby.
