Radar recently released screenshots from Josh’s emails to his mother, Michelle, before his sentencing in 2022. The Counting On alum told his mother to lay low when it comes to his case. He also told Michelle that he loves her, but he’s “very disappointed” about how she doesn’t seem to take criticism or take admission of her own actions that affected his life. Josh is implying that his parents played a significant role in his controversial behavior.

Josh also expressed his frustration about making the top story at 5NEWS, saying, “WHY DO YOU HAVE TO KEEP TALKIN ABOUT ME? IT’S BAD ENOUGH WITH THE WORLD, WORSE WITH MY OWN FAMILY. please think and pray. pray and think! i am praying for you!”

Some Counting On fans on social media discussed another email from Josh for Anna on March 26, 2022. Josh was talking about Jeremiah and Hannah’s wedding. He threw some jokes, including how silly he would look if he were ever at the wedding without her help. Josh wrote, “i wish i was there and you ironed my shirt, picked out my tie and made sure i had my shoes and matching suit jacket and pants. i’d probably embarass you by not having my dress shirt on and tucked in till we got to the venue parking lot lol!”

But what caught many’s attention was when Josh told Anna he’s praying for her to have good interactions during the ceremony, adding that he prays all the “selfish narcissists” to stay away and leave her alone. Josh added, “I’m so sick of their attacks and their endless self-pity-parties but i hope that we can keep trusting GOD — he will avenge us in HIS timing!” Josh went on to wish for his wife to have a positive experience amid all the drama happening due to his arrest.
