Joseph Duggar’s Special Request For Investigators Who Spoke To Alleged Victim
Counting On’s Joseph Duggar and his legal team are asking the judge to allow him to question people from the Department of Children & Families, Child Protection Team, and any law enforcement agency involved in the investigation, according to court docs obtained by TMZ.
Joseph says he has a right to see the evidence against him and claims reps from the agencies spoke to the alleged minor victim in the case.
In March 2026, Joseph was arrested in Arkansas on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior with alleged unlawful sexual activity with a minor. The charges stem from an incident with the now 14-year-old girl. Her dad called the police to report an incident with Joseph that happened in 2020 while on a family vacation in Florida. The alleged victim was nine years old at the time. Joseph was freed on a $600K bond.
Amy Paul, a close friend of Kendra Caldwell Duggar’s parents and known nemesis to the Duggars, broke her silence and named Kendra’s family as the victim of Joseph’s alleged crime. Here’s what happened.
Caldwell Family Friend Reveals The Alleged Victim
In a shocking post, Amy Paul took to social media and outed the alleged victim. She said in a scathing rebuke of the Duggars: “Why did I decide to drive 14hrs to help the Caldwells? The answer is simple…there was a need and as Christians we are called to be “the hands and feet of Jesus” I was also appalled at the lack of Christian charity that is being shown to this precious family that is in crisis. Not only were they put in the awful situation of turning their son-in-law into the police because he wasn’t man enough to take accountability himself, but he’s also kicking them out of their house and giving them 30days to get out!”
Paul continued with “The power and the water was turned off with 8 other kids living in the house! While I was there DHS was called on them for abuse…wonder who called? I will tell you that not one Duggar is reaching out to the Caldwells. Not one Duggar is helping them move or asking how they can help! The Caldwells share 4grandkids with Jimbob and Michelle. This is not the time to be throwing stones but it’s the time to rally around and support the victim and their family and Joe Duggar is 100% not the victim.” She posted a picture of Kendra’s now-teen sister and her mother, Christina Caldwell. “Do the right thing and HELP your extended family from the abuse and trauma your son has caused. Your piddly statement wasn’t enough. Where are the actions?! Even if you don’t “like” someone, the truth is you raised a son and he touched a prepubescent child and you are choosing to poison the daughter against her family. Encourage Kendra to divorce Joe, focus on her kids and give her half the money, real estate etc. Don’t make her dependent on you, JimBob…like she’s not a grown woman! Don’t make her another Anna. Her family is there waiting with open arms! I thought I wouldn’t post, hopefully this was tampered down enough. If I posted what I really want I’d prob be arrested. 🐊🐊”
Joseph and Kendra Duggar Still Facing Criminal Charges Together
Joseph and his wife, Kendra Caldwell Duggar, are under a separate criminal investigation in Arkansas for allegedly endangering the welfare of a child. He has pleaded not guilty in that case. Kendra has also entered a not guilty plea.
