Jill Duggar Shares Sorrow Over Loss Of Her Baby

Counting On alum Jill Duggar continues to spread positivity online. She became an inspiration to many due to her decision to step away from her family’s beliefs. She’s still in touch with her siblings, and things are getting better between her and her parents. ‘Counting On‘: Jill Duggar Shares Memorable Week With Family

One of Jill’s latest updates on IG was photos from their activities this week. According to the Counting On alum, they went out to play bowling with Derick’s family. She wrote, ” Getting all the boys together = loud crazy fun! Also, @montenechicken is always fabulous! Their starter bean soup and endless chicken & sides are all so yummy! (Just be sure and make a reservation in advance!)

Jill then shared a sweet photo with Derick, kissing just outside of their church. She added that they’ve been physically active lately, which includes regularly scheduled basketball games and swim lessons. She said, “So grateful for this season of life together.”

Jill Shares Sorrow Over Big Loss

Despite all the happiness, Jill also took to IG to relive one of the saddest experiences she had in life. The Counting On alum wrote, “Life is a constant combination of ups and downs, joy and sorrow, roses and thorns. I’m thankful for God’s faithfulness through all.” Jill suffered from a miscarriage in April 2024. She named her stillborn daughter Isla Marie. Members of the Duggar family went to Isla’s funeral, and some believe that it was the start of Jill’s reconciliation with her parents.

Since then, Jill has documented her healing journey. But her latest post indicates that the wound hasn’t healed. She even shared a relatable story about how a loss can permanently leave a hole in someone’s heart. Jill went on to say that having Isla’s burial allows her to remember all the excitement she had when she was still carrying her.

Jill wrote, “Note on loss: for whatever it’s worth…if you or someone you know experiences a pregnancy loss (no matter the gestation), cemeteries often have a designated baby burial area with much lower fees (or even free!) for babies and infants!”

Many fans also took to Jill’s comments section to sympathize with her, while others commended her for being transparent about what she’s going through.
