Joseph & Kendra Duggar’s Breakdown Of Endangerment Charges Revealed

Counting On Joseph Duggar has seemingly followed in his big brother Josh’s footsteps. After being arrested for sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl on a Florida vacation, Arkansas police went to his home.
The Tontitown Police Department found more evidence to charge Duggar with. Not only did they charge Joseph, but they also charged his wife, Kendra, with the same new crimes as him.
New Investigation Started Because Of Florida Crime with a Minor
The police have confirmed that the Duggars’ charges in Arkansas have nothing to do with Joseph’s case in Florida. However, TTPD indicated that this independent investigation started right after the alleged event in Florida.
TTPD said that the case is still an active and ongoing investigation, but they won’t be able to give out any more information right now because there are young victims involved.
Joseph Duggar, 31, is being held in the Washington County Detention Center for the SA crime that happened in Florida. The open investigation could prompt additional charges as police uncover more evidence. Read on to find out what the child endangerment charges were for.
The Arkansas code of criminal offenses states, “A person commits the offense of false imprisonment in the second degree if, without consent and without lawful authority, the person knowingly restrains another person to interfere substantially with the other person’s liberty.”
Police Found Padlocks on Children’s Doors
Rumors have been rampant over what the child endangerment charges were for; it seems there are more answers now. A Christian website, Protestia, reported that when police officers got to the Duggars’ home to arrest Joseph, they found padlocks on all the children’s doors, which would have made it impossible for them to get out in case of a fire or other emergency.
Both charges are Class A misdemeanors. The worst thing that can happen for each charge is a fine of up to $2,500 and up to a year in jail.
If found guilty, these punishments may occur one after the other, but they usually happen at the same time.
Joseph Duggar is facing 15 years to life in prison for the Florida charges, in addition to these lesser charges. The Florida charges include:
Lewd and Lascivious Behavior: Touching a Victim Under 12 Years Old
A person who is 18 years old or older does lewd and lascivious things.
Meanwhile, the investigation is open, and if more law-breaking evidence is found, they will most definitely add to Joseph’s pending charges.

Jill Duggar Speaks Out
Jill Duggar Dillard knows firsthand what it is like to be violated, as her brother Joseph did to the 9-year-old victim.
She is the first Duggar to condemn what Joseph Duggar has done.
She was also one of the first Duggar daughters to speak out in an interview when her brother Josh’s molestation of her and her sisters was revealed. He is doing 12.5 years in prison for CSAM.
Jill posted on her social media in support of her brother’s innocent victim. She said, “We first learned of anything related to his charges yesterday via a text from a friend who messaged us about the recent media reports of Joseph’s arrest and his alleged confession to molesting a juvenile female in 2020.
“We strongly condemn abuse. We support the rule of law and hope that justice will be achieved,” the statement continued. “Our hearts go out to the innocent juvenile victim of this unspeakable crime and her family.” Go to the Dillard’s family blog for their whole statement.
Joseph’s New Court Date—Kendra Out of Jail
Kendra posted $1270 bail less than 2 hours after her arrest. Joseph Duggar’s booking states that he has a court date for his Arkansas charges on April 29 at 2 p.m. in Elm Springs District Court.
