Josh Duggar Faces Judge Again, Points Finger At CSAM ‘Real Culprit’

Josh Duggar, a former TLC star, will talk to a federal judge on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, via video conference about his efforts to have his conviction for CSAM (child sexual abuse material) thrown out. Josh has pleaded not guilty to receiving and possessing child pornography after being arrested in 2021.
He was sentenced to 151 months in prison, which he is still serving. Josh has tried many times to change his sentence, but all of them have been rejected.
Duggar was found guilty of possessing child pornography in December 2021. He got a prison sentence of more than 12 years.
Josh Duggar Blames Someone Else For The CSAM
Duggar says he didn’t get a fair trial because his lawyers weren’t allowed to show that one of his employees was the one who put the videos on the computer.
The legal motion also said that a witness for the prosecution changed forensic data and lied when he said that the computer was offline when he looked at it. “He intentionally modified the cloned forensic image of the computer during government analysis, overwriting system data. He then falsely claimed under oath that he made no changes,” the motion claimed. “This perjured testimony misled the jury, obstructed the defense’s ability to challenge the evidence, and violated Joshua Duggar’s Fifth and Sixth Amendment rights.”

In March 2026, Jim Bob Duggar hired R. Kelly’s attorney, Beau Brindley. Kelly’s lawyer will defend his son and try to get his sentence reduced.
Beau had already said that the Counting On alum is broke because Josh’s family is no longer sending him money. The papers said that Beau would only be there “for this one occasion” because he is still a practicing lawyer in Illinois. Sources say that Beau wants the court to think about giving Josh more time to “review the case materials and get to know the issues.” But reports say that the court rejected it.
Beau wanted the court to throw out Josh’s guilty conviction because he says his constitutional rights were violated in 2021. Some people said that Josh’s family friend, Bobye Holt, shouldn’t have been able to testify about the time he molested five young girls. His sisters were four of them.

Josh Has Spoken Out On His Brother Joseph’s Arrest & Charges
Josh Duggar is defending his little brother, Joseph Duggar, who was arrested for unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Joseph Duggar had spoken against Josh when he was accused of molesting five girls, four of whom were his sisters, when he was a teen. Josh;s attorney said
Josh is “deeply saddened” to learn Joseph, 31, was charged. Josh, 38, went on to slam the “false accusations” against his brother following the “stigma.”
“He lives with the painful reality of how false accusations can destroy a life,” the statement on Josh’s behalf continued. “He understands how the targeting of a person for publicity can twist the truth into sensationalized fiction.”
