‘Counting On‘: Josh Duggar’s Shocking Statements Following New Hearing
New reports recently surfaced showing Josh’s new hearing. It was later revealed to be a follow-up to his last year’s petition to overturn his case. The Counting On alum still wants to prove his innocence. But many were surprised when Josh requested to have a video-based hearing instead of a face-to-face. According to documents, Josh believes that he’s too famous in the outside world. Due to this, he fears that some bad people may be waiting for him outside. Many fans were left scratching their heads at Josh, thinking that his life was in danger. But it’s clear that many are hoping for him to serve his complete sentence, including some of his siblings.

Josh Hires R. Kelly’s Attorney, Says His Rights Were Violated
Recent sources reveal that Josh hired R. Kelly’s attorney, Beau Brindley. Beau previously revealed that the Counting On alum is broke, claiming that Josh’s family is no longer sending him money. Documents added that Beau would only appear “for this one occasion” as he’s still a practicing attorney in Illinois. Sources say that Beau wants the court to reconsider giving Josh time to “review the case materials and familiarize himself with the issues.” However, reports reveal that the court didn’t grant it to Josh.
Beau wants the court to dismiss Josh’s guilty conviction, claiming that his constitutional rights were violated in 2021. It was said that Josh’s family friend, Bobye Holt, shouldn’t have been allowed to testify regarding the time when he molested five young girls. Four of them were his sisters.
Courts stated, “Duggar failed to meet his statutory time limit in filing his § 2255 motion, and therefore his claims are time barred.” But Beau explained that the court alleged the convicted Duggar had sent documents to the wrong email, resulting in his failure to meet requirements. But Beau insists that Josh sent it on June 24, 2025, which was still under the given deadline.

Beau is known for defending popular personalities. One of them is R. Kelly, who’s been trying to defend himself from multiple cases, which include sex trafficking, bribery, and coercion. R. Kelly is currently serving his 30-year prison sentence. In one of his interviews, R. Kelly revealed that he’s “very tired” of all the “unhinged” allegations about him. Beau filed an emergency motion for R. Kelly in 2025, stating that inmates are trying to kill the rapper.
