Mykelti recently appeared in an interview in which she opened up about her traumatic past. According to the Sister Wives star, a neighbor kid the same age as her molested her. However, they were living under an extreme “no-tattling” policy, which resulted in her being scolded by her parents when she tried to tell them about it. Since then, Mykelti has revealed that she stopped telling her mother things. She added, “To such a degree that I could have been saved a lot of hurt, a lot of emotional damage, and pain if I had that trust with my mom, my dad, and with my other moms.” Mykelti actually credits Robyn for being the one who criticized how the situation was handled, but it sounds like essentially nothing changed, and she didn’t receive support from the adults.
